Snap to grid is a function in Premiere Professional that means that you can align objects exactly on the timeline. This may be useful for creating correct edits, reminiscent of lining up a number of clips or including transitions. To snap to grid, merely choose the objects you need to align after which click on the “Snap to Grid” button within the toolbar. You can even use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+G (Home windows) or Cmd+G (Mac) to toggle snap to grid on or off.
