An ascot tie, also referred to as a cravat, is a large, usually brightly coloured necktie that’s tied in a free knot with the ends hanging down. It’s sometimes worn with formal apparel, similar to a tuxedo or morning coat. Ascot ties are sometimes related to horse racing, as they’re historically worn by jockeys.
Ascot ties might be created from a wide range of supplies, together with silk, wool, and cotton. They’re sometimes patterned, with frequent patterns together with stripes, checks, and paisleys. Ascot ties can be plain, through which case they’re usually created from a solid-colored cloth.
